Very fun feature in the Ashland Creek Press blog. This is my painting of Theo, their General Manager. He looks a bit hardened from all his years in the industry 🙂 I’ve been having fun stalking him as he does have his own Facebook page. I changed my personal avatar to this painting of Theo – which I titled “You Looking at Me?”

Some of my more subdued paintings are in the hospital outpatient lobby until the end of May. Cards and magnets with images of my animal art are available for purchase year-round at the hospital.
I just finished this painting of Lulu on Friday. Of course, her eyes aren’t quite this big, but I thought it makes her look just a tad bit cuter, so I just did it – after a long and hesitant struggle with myself…and painting them small again and then changing them back….just a bit of artistic license that I rarely let myself get away with:)
My painting “Wide-Eyed Red” that was painted for a Mutt Lynch/Dog Art Today wine label competition two years ago, is traveling to Kansas for The 26th annual Art Show at the Dog Show! It’s his first trip outside the Rogue Valley, so it’s very exciting! The show runs from March 1 – April 4, 2012….and the link with the juried art is already live – look under Paintings!

Prints and a few original oils of Sanctuary One animals – plus two friends, are on display at the South Medford Starbucks (across the street from the Harry & David Country Store) this month!
Sanctuary One, a non-profit care farm in Jacksonville, OR has a new advertising campaign which features my paintings of many of their animals – and one of my own dog (who was also a rescue) Remy!
