Just finished my painted tote bag for the “Art for Pitties” fundraiser which begins August 15th via the internet.  Fifty+ artists have donated one of a kind tote bags and other items to be auctioned off to support Even Chance, a Pit Bull resource, rescue and advocacy group based in San Diego. I am a Pit Bull owner and have also been a Pit Bull foster parent. They are amazing dogs – smart, loving and total “people pleasers”. I’ve painted my Pit Bull Riley several times, so for this tote bag I painted Roscoe, our first foster dog! My work is on display at Bloomsbury Bookstore Coffee Shop on Main Street in Ashland through the end of June!  Some new pieces – “Pug in Blue” and “Wide Eyed Red” are there, along with some other paintings and prints from my show earlier this year!  Also,  thanks to everyone who voted in the Mutt Lynch Wine Label competition! “Wide Eyed Red” made it into the “Top 10”,  but was not selected as the final label choice.  Seventy-seven artists entered the competition – it was an impressive collection of dog art!
