Five of my Sanctuary One animal paintings are featured at the downtown Ashland Starbucks through the end of October. Today, “Ferdinand” replaced “Peeking Pekin”, which sold over the weekend!
I will soon be happily writing a check to Sanctuary One, as 10% of my sales from these paintings and associated prints/cards is donated to help them with animal care and rescue.
Pleased to have received a Special Recognition Artist designation in the 2012 Light Space Time International Animal Art Competition! Sam Dolman’s pig painting won the top prize – crazy detail on his fabulous painting!

My newest painting “Cream”; she is a former blood donor cow from a veterinary school. She retired at Sanctuary One with her friend Cookies, and is also available for adoption. With her white coat, I just had to paint her with a fun & colorful polka dot background – I think it suits her!

I’m the featured artist at the Ashland Art Center for the month of June, which includes a special exhibit of my Sanctuary One animal paintings. The painting I’ve posted here is of Sparky – he and his son, Junior, are available for adoption at the Sanctuary, and he was our “mascot ” for the 3rd Annual Bachelor Auction and Cinco de Mayo Celebration benefiting Sanctuary One this year! If you are in Ashland for First Friday (June 1), drop in, see the exhibit, and visit me in Studio 3 – I’m working on a new Sanctuary One painting of a cow, with polka dots in the background – I can’t seem to get away from those 🙂 As always, there will be food, wine and live music – The Ashland 
Art Center was recently voted the best place to go for First Friday!
These two images are my most recent commission – portraits of Annie and Yogi; we think they are a Lhasa Apso/Basset Hound mix, from the same parents , even though they were adopted from the shelter at different times. They are so sweet together and it’s so wonderful that they are now part of the same family!
My most recent show through the Ashland Art Center A2B program was moved to Skylark due to the Starbucks remodel. Sixteen of my animal paintings are now hanging in the dining area for residents to enjoy every day!
